I just got back my history exam today, and I got a freaking “E”! It was a paper for IB History that was the majority of the exam, and according to my teacher, I got an “E” for “citing statistics, but not putting quotation marks around the statistical data”, so she assumed plagiarism. I was so mad and was crying about the horrible grade, especially since it sent my overall “A” semester grade down to a freaking “B”. UGHHHHHH I hate her and history so much!

Anyways, to be short, I have to send in mid-year reports to Stanford and other schools, and I have straight “A”'s except with this harsh and painful “B” in history. Is this probably a humongous red flag for Stanford? Especially with the “E” on the exam grade, they’ll see my first quarter as an “A-”, my second quarter as an “A”, and yet and “E” and a “B” for semester grade. Am I overreacting? And also, I have been moving up an upward trend, I got 3 B’s and rest A’s in freshman year, 1 B and reset A’s sophomore year, all “A” except one “A-”, but now I one “B” and the rest “A”'s.

no, i didn’t apply SCEA, which I should’ve done, but I missed the music supplement deadline.
If you don’t me asking, what were ur grades and what do you think made u get in?

And I mostly worried with the “E”, I think stanford will really question this.

I have A’s across the board but I really doubt that a B or two really matter. But I really don’t know much about the IB system. If you’re really worried you should send them an email explaining it to them. As far as to why I think I got in… I think depth in EC’s. I have contributed to the public health field and I have done medical research. In addition, I’m fluent in 4 languages.

ok, thanks, I’m a bit less stressed. I have a question though, I have had a pretty sizable amount of new activities and achievements this past semester, do you think I should give Stanford my list of new changes? It seems though that Stanford highly discourages it
