Best wishes to all as Friday approaches. Our S is currently in his senior year at Stanford and we all still remember when he received his REA acceptance at around 5:15 PM Mountain Time on December 11, 2015.
Ty!
I guess not for my school cause someone already got in through Questbridge. Good Luck everyone.
GREAT NEWS!! Stanford just confirmed that REA decisions release on Dec 6th. Itās just been updated on their website. Soooo excited
Confirmed. December 6th at 4p.m.
Wishing everyone the best of luck for Friday! Does anyone have any idea as to when paper acceptances/rejections will arrive by mail?
Also, not complaining, but any ideas why they release decisions so late in the day?
As much as I feel like I would want to open the decision Friday, I have my SAT Subject tests the following morning. I feel like whatever the decision is, itāll be too overwhelming
@alighass01 Good luck with your SAT! If I were in your situation, I think Iād open the decision only after the test.
@ellewinns I donāt think they do paper acceptances. Itās all on the portal
@ellewinns I think paper acceptances (as well as other relevant information) are mailed out the following Monday. So in this case, Dec 9th.
Also, they raised financial aid cap for middle income families as well
https://news.stanford.edu/2019/12/03/trustees-set-2020-21-tuition-expand-financial-aid-middle-income-families/
too bad im 2000 above that cap
If you run the NPC, youāll see that itās not a cliff, itās a sliding scale. The gotcha for some people is the phrase āand assets typical of that income level.ā This is why you really need to run the net price calculator with all of your familyās information, not just adjusted gross income.
No one has gotten in in my schoolās history, so Iām really preparing myself for the worst but I canāt stop worrying about it!
@takispice Well, who knows, you might be the first!
Also, is there any legacy applicant here? I could go to my brotherās Stanford graduation this year and it really inspired me to apply to Stanford.
Stanford Release date announced! December 6th! Earliest its ever been, it follows the Friday progression. Iām applying to 15 other colleges so needless to say its been a lot of work. Now that I know decision might be a little tough to focus but I just gotta keep the grind going.
Has Stanford ever added some sort of hint to their portal for accepted applicants like UCBerkeley did last year?
What hint did they add??
Ahhh less than 36 hours to go now!! Anyone else feeling super nervous and jittery? Iāll be at work when the decisions release so will probably have to wait an hour before opening.
Iām counting down the minutes!! Iām anxious about it, but I know whatever happens is meant to be!
