Hi all - is there any one who got deferred from Stanford here. If so, are you willing to share any advice or next steps other than filling the Update Form. Do we need to send LOCI as well? What major event can be done in 2 months to show in the update form.
Appreciate any support.

From my dad’s friend whose son was deferred, then accepted at Stanford:
“…We did not do any extraordinary stuff like letter-writing. We told [son’s name] his odds went from 5% to 15% but to celebrate this for what it is–a validation that she is presenting herself to all these schools as a stellar applicant. Plenty of kids received turn-downs today, and she did not. So best approach is ideally between now and end of March she establishes a second choice she can get excited about, and let the chips fall. But… she can rest assured that she has left it all out on the field with her essays and recs and can feel great about that.”

Folks all deferred are very likely to get in. Stanford defers very few and stay positive. Congrats to being one step closer to the best School.
