Stanford Supplement Essay #3

Here is a REALLY rough draft for the third Stanford essay. Any suggestions, criticisms, or comments are extremely helpful. Thanks a ton for your help.

Tell us what makes Stanford a good place for you.

As soon as I first set foot on the campus, I could tell that Stanford would be the perfect environment for me. As I walked around the university on one of the student-led tours, I could feel a kind of relaxed, laid-back vibe around the campus. The students were not holed up in their dorms studying; they were outside enjoying the wonderful weather, whether reading a book or riding around on a bike. This is exactly what I am looking for in a university: a school with outstanding academics, but also a school where I can have some fun and enjoy myself.
Academically, Stanford is a perfect match for my interest in engineering. Whereas most of the nation’s top schools focus on the liberal arts, Stanford is built more around the sciences, which truly makes it the best place for me. At Stanford, I know I will get an excellent education along with practical experience with research. Beyond my passion for learning, Stanford offers even more to match my interests. On Saturdays in the fall, I would surely be out at Stanford Stadium cheering on the Cardinal. I would even have a chance to play some ultimate during the winter months.
I really can see myself as a student at Stanford. I can picture myself sitting in The Oval on a warm fall day. I feel that Stanford is the best place for me to explore my interests and my abilities.
