<p>I hope Stanford does not dispense with their long essay, which was far better than the other supplemental essays I wrote.</p>

<p>Wow… I actually liked Stanford’s app a LOT better than the common app. The word-count-cutting-you-off thing was annoying, but I liked having 4 essays. It gave you a chance to show them more of yourself than the CommonApp does I feel.</p>

<p>I don’t know if it’s going to be optional or if they’re going to use the common app exclusively. I kinda like Stanford’s app too but I guess they’re going for convenience.</p>

<p>yeah I don’t know how I feel about that considering my common app essay for 5 of my schools was SO MUCH BETTER than my Stanford long essay…
but then again, I wrote the new one AFTER I got rejected… so… yeah… Idk…
still a sore spot though :(</p>

<p>Wow Stanford’s doing the CommonApp?? Add to that the fact that Harvard and Pton dropped the early application and next year’s acceptance rate is going to plummet!</p>
