Nothing for me yet, but I think they are definitely using the waitlists this year. So much going on, so much uncertainty

I read somewhere that Stanford’s letting people declare a gap year even until orientation in September
I guess seeing as there are probably 500-800 of us on the waitlist, it is going to take some time to determine which kids to accept/reject off the waitlist. interesting to note that they haven’t sent an email saying no waitlist usage (like dartmouth did) nor have they rejected many people yet.
maybe this thursday may be the first wave of acceptances/rejections as stanford historically has released first wave on the second thursday of may (hopefully!)
also i still don’t know if those acceptances like from penn girl or the rejections from ?? are reliable…thats like, what, 5 ppl that have heard back? idk just seems odd

The Facebook page went up by six people. That very well could have been six people who got off of the waitlist. I mean last year it was only eight who got off so seems realistic I guess. I don’t know b/c in the past they didn’t alert everyone on the waitlist, only those who got off of it…
the official one went down from 1286 to 1281 so idk if thats reliable
Ok but wouldn’t they at least announce some sort of congratulations on Twitter if people did get off the waitlist
i am really hoping that thursday will give us all some closure, good or bad. i read the past few years had an extended waitlist or people waited til june to know the final decision which is kinda dumb
