Wait so why does everyone think the waitlists are coming out today?
It’s usually released the second week of May on Thursday
@heythereyall because stanford traditionally releases on the second Thursday of May. Although only the few lucky who get in during the first wave will actually hear back. The rest of us are left to either pine over the next wave, left completely in the dark as to our role on the waitlist, or possibly can even be rejected off of the waitlist during the first wave. The more time that passes with this waitlist process, the more I am convinced that we are left here to suffer until someone at Stanford finally releases our fate to us. Extremely unfair and extremely unhealthy.

One of my friends contacted the admission officer and she said they haven’t released the first wave, so we are still good to go!

Nope, the admission officer just said they haven’t released the first wave but she didn’t give any hints in terms of the date…
