ppl in the transfer discussion went off. So many people got in.
yeah . somewhere earlier in the transfer thread it said that stanford was taking 3x as many transfers this year. not sure how that may affect the waitlist
Does a higher acceptance rate for transfers indicate that more or less people will be accepted off the waitlist? Or does it not make a difference?
I doubt it affects us because transfers are all incoming sophomores and above.
Maybe it could actually be a good sign that overall yield was lower than usual this year, so they accepted more transfer students.
Since most of the transfer applicants received their decisions today, I am assuming either Saturday or Monday for us.
Honestly, even after the first wave, we’ll most likely be kept on the waitlist for a long time until it is made clear whether international students can attend or not.
Yeah probably. Internationals not being able to come is the main thing that’s supposed to increase waitlist movement right. We won’t officially know if internationals aren’t able to come until much later.
Hopefully today’s the day guys lol. Good luck.
If today was the day do you guys think it will come out 4 pm PDT as well?
I am really skeptical about today being the day, but if it is I feel like it will come out later today in the evening.
Wouldn’t they have called ppl first?? Also, would they release decisions on a Saturday??
Best of luck to all.
They probably finished deciding yesterday but I doubt they’ll release it on a Saturday, but then again all patterns have been broken this year. All we can do is wait. Good luck!
Do you think they’ll tweet or update their site about waitlist decisions coming out. I think I’m driving myself half insane just checking this forum every other hour!
Looks like nothing today lol
Yes I was thinking that too. Perhaps Monday.
I was lowkey hoping stanford would do something crazy and release today lol
Today is the day!!!
Super nervous omg
Watch it not be today like we all thought it would be…
