I think students have 2 days to reply so they’ll probably wait until next week to strategize and pick the next wave (if they even need a next wave- yield is probably pretty good).
No, they have until May 30th to decide. I asked someone who was accepted off the waitlist.
did they get an email from admissions or find the letter in the portal?
I’ve heard it might have been more like “likelies” - due to the update being through calls/emails and not portal - instead of a ‘wave’ (and that might be why they were domestic applicants). But I’m not entirely sure that’s accurate, or how the whole waitlist process works for Stanford
So based on Reddit and other social media, a handful seem to have gotten off on Friday at around 4:21pm PT. They all seem to be in some sort of Stem major, and they have until may 30th to accept their offer. I’m guessing there will be another round after may 30th, but I think it is best to move on for now.

I’m not sure. I would think it is harder for internationals to get off given the current political climate. I am hoping there will be a few more rounds, hopefully for humanities people, as like I mentioned before everyone who got off on Friday was stem. We will just have to wait and see.
Hi guys! New to the thread so bear with me. I was waitlisted as a transfer student and it says we need to accept our spot on the waitlist by June 2nd. Does this mean the waitlist wont be moving at all until everyone accepts? Or should I be racing to fill out the form ASAP?
I am humanities 
. Also do u think international will not be as hard because if the cureeent political climate tield has got to decrease even if minorly
my friend called stanford’s admissions office and they said that they accepted a small cohort of students last friday which they have heard strong responses from but they are still monitoring their waitlist and admitted pool for spots. when asked if there would be another wave of acceptances they said that they were still waiting for the responses from the people on friday so im guessing the next wave will probably be after may 30th…

Tbh probably not good news for a bunch of us… looks like those are the ‘type’ of ppl they want to accept/are looking for: domestic and stem majors
Maybe your friend should have asked if the waitlist will close if everyone from Friday says yes
i doubt that the waitlist will fully close on May 30th since there’s still the extended waitlist
