I asked if the class size had increased already which they said yes to. They are permanently increasing class size by 150. Class size increase will not harm us and most likely help.

i dare one of us bite the bullet and call stanford to ask abt what the waitlist is looking like tomorrow :rofl::rofl:

they’d probably just say ‘we can’t give any info on that and you will get your decision by july 1’

it’s crazy how it’s all locked in now - someone somewhere in the world (stanford) knows how many people they can now accept off the waitlist and for which majors

Has anyone heard of anyone getting replies from Stanford yet!? Also, do your Waitlist forms show “registration has passed” when trying to display?

Haven’t heard of anyone hearing back yet and yes it shows cannot display.

I called the admissions office today. Here’s what I learned:

  1. They have not admitted anyone off the waitlist yet
  2. They’re actually still figuring out whether or not they even want to go to the waitlist- implying that this year they may not use it at all (heavy emphasis on “may,” Stanford has accepted students off the waitlist for the past 5 years in a row so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do go to the waitlist).
  3. No updates on when students should expect a first round of notification if they do go to their waitlist- by July 1st was the only timeframe given.

Did you ask them to repeat when they say ‘may’? Like what do you mean by emphasis

My own emphasis. Didn’t want people freaking out thinking that them saying “may”= automatic no more WL.

They said they’re still figuring out if they’re going to the waitlist or not.

ok. i think transfer decisions come out tomorrow so i don’t know… maybe they like to do things all at once or something. just my thoughts tho
