How do we access and edit our stanford web page? What kind of stuff can we put on it and how much space do we have?

2

we have a web page??

3

The way I did it is to use an html editing program and upload my files using SecureFX (ftp).

http://www.stanford.edu/services/web/howto.leland.html

I used mine when I was testing out the webiste that I was making for a club. You can see it here http://www.stanford.edu/~tiffanyp/

for mac users: use Fetch instead of SecureFX (also on the essential software website)

i think i read somewhere the limit was 500MB (which is a lot if all you’re putting is html), but im not completely sure if there is a limit. i have a 108MB zip file in my stanford folder. do many people use their webspace?

no that many people use it, that i know of. i’ve never heard of anyone actually working on anything or doing much with their web pages. i don’t even know if that many people know we have one.
