Stanley Cup Playoffs 2014

It’s interesting that all four first place teams are out by the end of the second round.

Not liking that both Game 1s this weekend are during the afternoon.

Oh my goodness, what a debacle today’s game was. Here’s hoping that it was an anomaly and the rest of the series is more entertaining.

Menu for tomorrow’s game: Baked French toast, fresh fruit and orange juice, bagels cream cheese and lox…Go Kings Go!!! (btw…these season is calorically killing me!)

If I didn’t steer clear of Southern California, I’d be knocking on your door around noon tomorrow looking hungry, bevhills.

:)…anytime

Thank you for the offer.

Been away for months, but couldn’t resist dropping in to wish bevhills good luck on our rematch. I have to remember to get out there for your food one of these years! Of course, as we say, HAWKS!!! Nuff said. ;)

I will say that the lunch/brunch was excellent. The hockey…the other team was excellent.

the kings are a great team. The west is the best hockey all the way through, no question. Whoever wins this side will be exhausted compared to the East, which is the only advantage the east could have, considering the field. Either way, a worthy team will be going to the cup.

Both the Kings and the Hawks are excellent teams. That was hockey played at a high level.

Absolutely.

Well, I don’t get the channel that the next Hawks/Kings game is on. So, hoping for another good game, and Go Hawks!

While we (Ellebuds) enjoy spirited sports (Go Kings! Go USC!) please note: No jerseys in our home for opposing teams. I will always have a vegetarian option(s). And I will have USC chips for football season. Do not bring a bottle opener that plays your fight song…oh wait…we did that to our friends…once.

I can imagine that the bottle opener might have gotten “accidentally” broken.

“Oh sorry, by mistake I dropped the opener in the disposal and it got ground up, and then I burned it. What a pity. These things happen.”

Your guys seem to have the killer instinct that some other teams lack, bevhills. Not that I will mention any names, coughSharkscough.

Actually the wife heard the SC fight song from a few rooms away. She ran into the kitchen, picked up a napkin…picked up the offensive material and threw it out the door. Fight on!

As far as the Kings go: Mr. Ellebud who loves ice hockey and all that goes with it…said to our daughter who works for the Kings…that this team (win or lose) is the stuff legends are made of. Books will be written about them. They are that good, they are that talented and they work as a team the way very few teams do.

I like the story about your friend protecting her hand from the offensive material. Otherwise she would have had to take a shower ;)

CF…not a doubt in my mind.

Oh dear. During the Conference Finals, when they’re tied 1-1? Can someone remind me of the penance required for this egregious offense to the Hockey Gods? Something about burning a pile of old wooden hockey sticks, your favorite hockey jersey, and some incense, and then wearing a Don Cherry outfit for a day, I think.

Perhaps this one:

Or this fetching outfit:

Or this traditional plaid:

I have little patience for Don Cherry and his troglodyte views about violence.

Oh my…colorful.
