I agree with you, lergnom. Cherry is a buffoon.

Cherry is an old man living in the past, when traumatic brain injury was “getting your bell rung,” dangerous hits were “good hockey plays,” and xenophobia was cute and patriotic instead of an embarrassing personality flaw.

Hah! Well, Ellebud, if you were to were Duke colors or jerseys into our house, I’m not sure what would happen to you! Yikes. Go heels! In the meantime, as for Legendary teams, even the master himself, Mr. Gretzsky has called the Hawks a dynasty. Either way, if you arrive at our house this evening in your Kings Jersey, we will still pour you Vuove and invite you to have some smoked salmon topped cucumbers or proscuitto wrapped asparagus.

No, but seriously, you guys whooped us last time! Great game.

Yes, it was a great game. Party in our house tonight and Monday. You are invited.

I don’t know where a lot of people live on this site but I do have to tell you we have been in North and South Carolina. Raleigh/Durham is REALLY a nice place…and Charleston…omg just beautiful.

But I digress: Veggie and meat options…healthy and not so healthy snacks…lots of beer and wine.

Two hard-fighting series on both sides. Both at 3-2. I wonder how much the two winning teams will have left for the final series.

Way to go Rangers. America’s worst nightmare an underdog NY team.

Yet another game 7 for the Kings.

When I went to the store this morning, I swear I was the only person in Target who was not wearing some kind of Hawks’ gear.

So, will the Kings become the first team to ever play 21 straight games to start the playoffs and win game 7 in the conference final?

I seriously hope that we do. Last night was brutal. Ms. Ellebud was working the gme. She isn’t talking. We did many of the right things…who wears (or doesn’t wear) the jerseys…what is served for dinner…
tomorrow we will do it “right”

Go Kings!

The fans of 29 teams come to that point every year. You wear the right jersey, you serve the right food, you perform the correct actions during power plays, and yet, your team loses. The Hockey Gods are fickle.

CF: sorry, we are ego centric. What we do influences the world…every day.

alwaysamom, in response to your query about the Kings 21, I sincerely hope the Hawks prevent it, though they have gone beyond what I expected, and everyone around here has the belief, so…

Go Hawks!!

We can hear the Ellebuds cheering! Congrats and good luck against the Rangers.

cheering…screaming…There was an earthquake (mild) during the game…I believe that we started it. The screaming…the yelling…and the crying. I am thrilled!

Partah at the Ellebuds! Wednesday!

It’s amazing how many of the goals, including the winner, were direct results of players not thinking before they tried to deflect a shot. The Hawks scored because the defenseman put his stick out without thinking and deflect the puck - that Quick would have easily caught or pushed aside - directly to Toews. The Kings won because the Hawks defenseman, a guy who barely played, stepped part of the way in front of a shot, deflecting it and screening Crawford so he had no chance to react. The goalie would easily have caught or deflect that shot.

Well, at least now my son can shave his beard off. (If the Hawks had gone any further he was in danger of starting to look like an extra from Duck Dynasty.)

Lergnom, those guys clearly don’t pay any attention to Don Cherry’s advice because he is always complaining about this. Last night, he even showed clips of the goalies talking to their defensemen about not doing that!

congrats to the Kings and their fans! I’m not surprised. I didn’t feel like we wanted it at the Cup Level this year, and you guys did! Hate to say it, but I really don’t care about the Rangers at all, one way or the other. If the Kings don’t win, I’ll feel badly we beat so many of the teams that could have beat them on the way through the playoffs. Go West!

Very happy to have the game on at 8. I enjoy watching the pre-game warm ups and was surprised to see the arena so empty in L.A.
