@TooOld4College I always like to see wins on home ice. It’s good for the fans and the players who can have their family and friends there. Typically, family does not travel with the team until the finals, so it’s always nice to get a win at home.
I had to chuckle in last night’s game when each team had a player tossed out just for chirping at each other in the final minutes.
Terrible game for the Penguins, unfortunately. Wednesday will be interesting !
Well, it was 5-0 when I posted but at least ended up 5-2 so at least the Penguins ended up doing something tonight!
Caos defense finally showed up to support Holtby tonight. Excited for Wednesday!
@sevmom I like it too when my team, knowing the game is over, still puts up points for the fans so it’s not a skunk… at least that’s how I see it.
Crosby is a dirty player but he NBC announcers are so in love with him, you’d never know it just by listening to them.
Go Caps. Get that monkey off your back.
Game 7s are such fun! My H will be at tomorrow night’s game, I politely declined.
And for tonight, go Sens!
huh. The Caps lost in game 7 and scored zero goals.
I am so shocked…
I am ready to blow it up. Is the window for Ovechkin to win the Cup over in DC? Very likely. Wasted the early years and now he is no longer a 50 goal scorer, is old, and bluntly a shadow of his former self.
Ducks played rough and kept the Oilers at bay for the win! Man, what an edgy series… too much stress, but super fun! We’ll be seeing Nashville for games 1 and 2 at home again. Maybe I’ll get some tickets for my birthday =) Yay Ducks!!!
I feel sad for the Caps’ fans, even though I was cheering for the Pens. I think it is a shame that these teams met in the second round. So much analysis on what goes wrong when a team loses, who knows the actual answer. Last night’s game was close, in almost every possible way. Fleury came up big and I’m happy for him, he’s had a tough season. With all the injuries that the Pens have had, it’s amazing to me how well they’ve done so far. One possible factor, and this is just a guess, the Caps had a tougher first round battle than the Pens did. Six one goal games, five that went to OT. Who knows. I know the fans were disappointed but it’s a shame that so many were streaming out of the arena before the game was even over.
I didn’t stay up to watch the whole west coast game. A little sad for the OIlers but not entirely. This is a strong young team, and like the Leafs, only have good things in the coming years.
Looking forward to the next two series!
Caps are like 3-9 and have never scored more than 2 goals in game 7s going back to the 80s.
The Penguins were a broken hockey team, missing tons of players, and they still found a way. Meanwhile, the stacked roster of the Caps still found a way to lose. The compete level on the Caps is just too low for playoff hockey. Starting the 3rd period behind, the Caps had ZERO scoring chances. Just unacceptable. I don’t blame the fans at all for leaving (and the Pens fans were streaming out of game 6). We’ve watched the same story for 25 years and this was the end of our 2 year “window”… our roster will be a lot different next year, which maybe is a good thing. It will be interesting to see who Las Vegas takes from the Caps.
The Penguins have it figured out and seem to be able to plug random players into the roster and keep moving forward.
Two Penguins out tonight with injuries . Great , close games so far.
Entertaining game between the Preds and the Ducks last night. Even though the Ducks were outplayed pretty badly, it was close right to the end. The Nashville fans need to learn that you don’t throw things on the ice.
No!!! Ducks lost the lead in last seconds. Going into OT now… X(
:-S alright, all tied up and heading home \m/
~X( alright, one game down and leaving home :((
@BunsenBurner Hahaha, I like your tag ^^^^^^ (assuming you’re rooting for the Preds)
Way to go, PREDS!

Go Not Penguins!
God this game is nervewracking and the only pterodactyl I have in the fight is that I don’t want the Penguins to win.
