<p>Schools: Fletcher, SAIS, SIPA, American U. SIS, and UC-SD IR/PS</p>
<p>A professor who’s writing a recommendation for me wanted me to send him the necessary information to complete the online recommendation process as soon as possible. So, I started online application at each of the above schools (except UC-SD, which doesn’t allow you to do it until mid-August). I didn’t find out until I had sent my professor all the links he needed that, except for American, I can’t select “Fall 2009” as my start date. </p>
<p>For SAIS and Fletcher, I contacted Embark.com, and they said that I’d have to wait until the school releases the new application and start a new application. I suspect this is also the case for the SIPA app too. </p>
<p>Alas, does anyone know when these applications normally open up so that I can start a new one?</p>
<p>Sure, I’ve emailed the schools, but they tend to take time, and it’s hard as hell to call because I’m in Taiwan, which has about the most inconvenient time difference possible.</p>
