Starting a blog... Name ideas???

So, as I’m assuming you gathered from the title, I plan on starting up a blog devoted to my experiences as I head into Harvard next year. And possibly a YouTube channel as well. However, I have a problem: I have no idea what to name it! I want it to be something catchy and original, and it doesn’t necessarily have to pertain to Harvard specifically.
Some facts about me to help, and ideas:

*Coming from the Pacific Northwest (maybe something playing on the “from coast to coast” phrase?)
*I love to travel and learn about pretty much anything
*I want to major in neurobiology, but am also interested in international relations
*Words to (possibly) include: crimson, my name (Megan/Mae), Cambridge/Boston

Thanks so much, any ideas are appreciated!!

While you could certainly write your own personal blog, may I suggest you volunteer next year as part of: <a href=“Student Stories | Harvard College”>https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/hear-our-students/student-blogs

@gibby has given you a charitable response. I’d only add that with privilege comes responsibility. Congrats on getting into a school that only accepts a few applicants. But now is not the time to shine a spotlight on yourself. How can you grow to be a leader, to think of others, and make the world a better place? Best wishes for the next 4 years.

@snarlatron I apologize if my post came across in such a way that would make it seem arrogant (“now is not the time to shine a spotlight on yourself”). I am not trying to do that through the proposed blog. Instead, I seek to document my life experiences in a way that family and friends, or anyone curious enough to look, can easily get to. I just had a problem thinking of a name for that particular communication medium. I am not trying to brag about my acceptance (it doesn’t even have to specifically mention Harvard), but instead share my experiences and thoughts with others (similar to how a travel blogger, well, blogs).

@Meg2015 no need to apologize. I do think that these days many overestimate the interest that others have in their daily experiences. If you are interested in honing your writing skills maybe look into working for the Crimson or Advocate once you’re at H. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Meg, congrats on your acceptance. The blog is a fun idea - a lot of kids do it as sort of a creative public journal of their experiences. But with all due respect, if you are having to poll people for blog names, maybe creativity isn’t your strong suit.

Congratulations Meg! Sharing your experiences could be very helpful to others. I am sure you will find a name for your blog that is suitable and catchy. As long as the content is compelling the rest will take care of itself.
Best Wishes!
