Starting app two months early. Questions.

I am a home schooled high school senior, and am going to be applying to six colleges, four of whom have priority admission dates of around Dec 1. I took the October 1st SAT but bombed it, so I am retaking it next month and am going to send those scores with my apps or a little after the apps are sent in. I have a few questions, first of all, is there a way to see what the essay prompt is about for each of the colleges I am going to be applying to so I can start thinking/writing it? (Without signing up on each website and quitting the app after reading the essay prompt; don’t want to sign up and not send in an application until 2 months later) Also, when should I start to ask for letters of recommendation?

Thanks for any and all help.

There’s nothing wrong with signing up and not sending the application in until two months later. A lot of people do that, and the colleges wouldn’t even know. You should start asking for letters of recommendations now, especially since it’s already October. Second week of November at the latest, since you would want to give the people a few weeks to write it.

I guess you can Google the college prompts, but just making an account online would be a lot more simple…

Thank you, that makes me feel better. I think I was just over analyzing things.
