The Corner Room is especially nice if you can snag a booth by the window (and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Bill Pickles and the Allen Street Grill are also right on the corner of Allen and College; the food for all three comes out of the same kitchen. It’s not gourmet, but generally dependable. The Diner is famous for Grilled Stickies; other good options for breakfast and/or lunch are Irving’s and The Waffle Shop. Cozy Thai is a favorite of my son and his friends. The Tavern is great for ambience, but the food is mediocre at best. All of these restaurants are right on College Avenue. (Can’t comment on Are U Hungry. I’ve walked by many times, but never felt compelled to go in.)
