Last month I applied for the Pathways student internship for the US Department of State through USAJobs. My application was referred and I landed a phone interview with the hiring officials two days ago (on Friday). There were two gentlemen on the line and they asked me a series of 12 questions. I was pretty nervous… like most people would be. There were a couple of questions that were hard to answer and I think they could sense that especially the question on “Explain a failure and how you overcame it.” I might be overthinking my whole interview but I am very worried I won’t be offered the position. Does anyone know approximately how long they take to get back to you following the interview and how competitive it was?
