Ok Pundits…
Tell me something wrong with that address (other than pronuciation of nuclear that is…) ;). Actually, I think he stumbled on that word a bit, maybe out of practice to get it right? :D

Damn…I really like this guy and his principles. (he’s got a good writer too…)

We need to recind the presidential term limits (just for Bush Jr. of course).

the way he pronounces nuclear is proper english in Texas people give me junk for pronouncing it the way he does sometimes as well. oh well, can’t win them all.

Being a Texan here in Seattle (possible the most liberal place in CONUS) i’ve caught quite a bit of flack for my views, though I find that too many of the most liberal people i see on a daily basis feel the need to express their views at every freakin’ opportunity.

IE…Seahawks going to the Superbowl…everyone here is pumped…one guy was sitting next to me complaining on why they have it in Detroit and not a city in warm place. And I quote: “Why can’t they hold it in Florida, or, I hate to say it, Texas.” Quite a few people around here claim to hate Texas for absolutely no reason, but when you look at their political views, it’s obvious. Well, our CiC wasn’t even born in Texas, but Connecticut. I wasn’t born there either, but like him, I got there as fast as I could :).

Another thing: Does anyone else find it appalling that our government is so blatantly divided as was revealed during the address? It seems you’re either Red or Blue…if you’re one, you’re hated by the other…it’s rediculous. Washington had the right idea when he said he didn’t want political parties.

I got a kick out of all the times the liberals stood up in delayed fashion out of embarassment! Unbelievable show of stupidity (oops…that may be fightin’ words…sorry :D)

George Bush should have left the White House in 2004. In case you were confused, the economy is not getting better, we have massive debt. I’m wondering when I will be sent to Iran or North Korea… and what about social security? I hope all the baby boomers out there have a good job, and a lot of money, otherwise well…good luck paying to live!

Seriously, what is wrong with people. It doesn’t matter a damn the man’s principles. It matters what he can do as a President. Who gives a crud if he is Christian, Jewish, or Atheist? If the (not Bush necessairily) could settle all the issues the UNITED STATES has and protect us here instead of with an outstretched hand then I don’t give two you-know-whats about his own personal principles.

He is my CINC and I will do what I am told, but honestly people, WAKE UP AND FIGURE IT OUT!

Wow, Hilary is a scary lady. I hate to say it but I can see why Bill had affairs. A man can only stand so much!
I also wanted the cameras to show more of the soldier with her dog. I was so happy that they were reunited.

Happy they were reunited?? Is this what people want? You want to see dogs and soldiers “reunited” at the STATE OF THE UNION? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?

Davy. you’re going active duty after graduation? If not then you don’t have to worry about being sent anywhere. Last time people were called to active duty involuntarily from the MMR/IRR list was WWII.

Clinton ignored all the signs of the 2000 market crash and even helped accelerate and deepen the crash. He also ignored chances to neutralize Osama and ignored his threat to our country.

Bush has lead us to recovery even amongst 911 and Katrina, etc like Clinton couldn’t even dream about.

kp2001 - don’t know yet. I want to see what sea is like first.

Recovery for Katrina? That was one of the biggest political problems from the past year. As for 9/11, I don’t really understand what recovery he has done? To me he sought revenge and got it, but Iraq…that seems the opposite of recovery to me. I’m a little confused, and I probably should be.
