<p>I know I would like to major in business, and I have narrowed my college selection to two schools: Cal Poly SLO and Babson College. Being from California, I would get in-state tuition at SLO, while I did not receive any aid from Babson College. However, Babson College is MUCH more reputable for its business school, being that it is a business college, compared to SLO which is known for its engineering department. Do you think going to Babson would be more of a leg in the door for a career in business, despite the cost? Or would the best CSU still get you just as much for MUCH less of a financial burden?</p>
<p>Babson is not that well known and is not more “reputable” than Cal Poly. Babson is a niche business program that has gained popularity among wealthy entrepreneurs, but it is hardly a corporate hunting ground. In your case, attending Cal Poly will save you over $100k. This is a pretty easy decision; go for Cal Poly.</p>
