Stating SAT scores vs ACT scores on application

A friend of mine scored relatively poorly on the SAT (1900) but is expecting higher ACT scores (31-32, equiv. ~2100) that come out in the next couple days. I know the whole bit about that they will get the 1900 anyway b/c of the SAT II scores etc, but does she actually need to write the SAT score down on the application if she puts the ACT score? Is it optional the way AP scores arE?

bump anyone?

Depends on the school. If it’s midwest, then just ACT will probably do. However, most coast schools want to see SAT. The app should say.

I had sent my SAT scores to each school I was applying to except Yale, because I decided to apply there after I took the ACT and did much better on it. Needless to say, Yale only knows my ACT score (plus I didn’t take SAT II).
