I would say that test was easier than last year’s EnviroSci, but still loses to last year’s US Gov for easiest AP test ever.

i thought the frq was pretty easy compared to the mc…

here’s a website that will let you play around with what scores you think you got to find out what your AP score will be: [AP Pass - AP Statistics Calculator](AP Statistics Test Score Calculator - AP Pass)

Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone remember the question about the pink candies? It’s like each box is supposed to have 50%, if 50 are tested and the expected value is off by 7? or 8? then the machine is shut down. Something about the probability of the machine shutting down?

I’m not sure if it’s Form B or not… D:

for the fish one i got m1 is less than m2…DID I MESS UP? ;O

^It depends on what your mu’s were

Yes I got .399 for the p value of the fish one too! I accepted the null, because it’s not significant at the .05 level. And for the #6 one I had no idea how to accept or reject it, i think i ended up saying there was a significant difference, although I can’t remember at all…

I don’t remember any of the MC, but did any one else get nervous that question 6 seemed too easy?

um, no. i see it as a blessing from wherever.

yes, LET’S try to remember some MC questions. gah, CC was so helpful with that last year when i took ap biology. too bad i can’t remember anything from yesterday, lol : P

To Trav23: i hope you didn’t say you ACCEPTED the null hypothesis. Theyll take points off for that. You can never accept a null hypothesis, instead you have to say there is no evidence to prove it wrong

for the fish one, i got q=6.4, too, for whoever asked. #6 wasn’t that hard, just part e.

for #1, i drew a line graph - i don’t know what compelled me to - and then i said that 1/sqrt of x would be a better fit because i couldn’t remember the word EXPONENTIAL.

for whoever put up a z score - 3.9-4.1/1.1 - isn’t it supposed to be divided by 1.1 over the sqrt of 40 (because it was a sample of 40??)

CAR SUCKED. I got the first part but not the second and/or third if there was one.

Anyone here who thought MC was harder than FR? I left 3 blank and pray that I only got 7 wrong. It just frustrates me that although I’m quite sure I know my statistics, I did not think the AP test was a piece of cake like others have stated. I really hope I passed. D:

For the candy one, you use geometric distrib right?

i never used geometric distribution…
there has never ever been a geometric distribution on an ap exam before
but if “ap exams are independent of each other” who knows… haha

for number 6 on the frq did anyone use the median as an average?

how ****ed were you guys that there werent more binomial questions on this test? im pretty sure none on the mc. they’re such easy points.

dudes please answer my question…im seriously freaking out about it…

for number 6 on the frq did anyone use the median as an average

NO, i used the mean. and it clearly stated the average, so u were to use the mean, and calclate the Q, which i believe was 6.4!

^ditto.

“how ****ed were you guys that there werent more binomial questions on this test? im pretty sure none on the mc. they’re such easy points.”

SAME. they couldn’t have asked one binomial question? dayumm, lol.

for the s.d of the car distribution I used the formula that the variance is equal to the difference between the count and expected value squared times the probability, then i took the square root to get the s.d

and got a high p value for the next part which for # of owners of e being less than 12, meaning that it’s pretty likely to get less than 12 owners, the next part kind of assured me when it asked how to sample so i at least get 12 of d and e…
