<p>Do you need to have any background knowledge of stats to do well in stats 35B. </p>
<p>In fact, do u need any background knowledge in any of the lower division stats major requirements to do well in those classes (it sure seems like u dont…)?</p>

<p>Is that class the one with applications to poker in its title? I think its mostly a course designed to prep for stats100a. And stats100 is the introduction to probability. So you can’t get more introductory than stats 35. But I haven’t taken either( im taking 100a in fall). Maybe someone else can chime in.</p>

<p>Seeing that stats100 is closed, you might as well take stats35. Plus, I’m self studying 100a and its not easy. So it might be a good idea to have preparation. As for needing anything before 35, I don’t think so.</p>
