Stats 134 with Bin Yu this summer. Need some advice for this class

Hi, I'm a junior transfer college student, and I’m going to take this class next week. I'm quite worried about the possibility to get lost in this class, since I haven't taken any stats class for the past 6 years, and heard this statistic class is one of the hardest classes on my campus. Basically, I have to study this statistic class from scratch. I strongly want to get an 'A' from this class, since this class is my first class at this school.

My question is that is there any other publisher that I can use as a supplement to improve my probability concept? Plus, should I go over high school level of probability first before class starts in order to enhance my understanding of this textbook? Help me ~

Thank you

If I were you, I would wait until fall to take stat 134. I think taking stat 134 over summer is too much.

they advised transfers not to take that over the summer pretty explicitly, don't understand why people choose to ignore the warnings.

Hey Sanitydc!! Where did you see that message??? Are you serious??

Prospective Majors

Third to last paragraph in bold.

Also, the reason they say that is because your admission could still be rescinded if you don't do well. I'm in the same boat as you actually. I've taken Calc 1-3, DE, Linear Algebra and did very well . I'm going to stay in the class and drop it if I feel like I can't handle it.

Anyone have anymore constructive advice other than "don't take it?"
