hey, it seems as though people applied in september and got their addmission decisions really soon, does UMich (ANN ARBOR) have rolling addmissions? or how does it work?

pretty much apply early as possible…u get a better chance. they look at apps as they’re coming in.

if u apply early, and ur not AS qualified, u might get in…but if u apply late, and u had the same stats as the semptember applicant…u might not. sooo yeah…it’s a bit unjust and unfortunate for some.

NO LEGACY

The ripcurl, your friend got in because Michigan probably felt that he had an unfair disadvantage in English. Clearly, he is quite storng in math and since he applied to the CoE, it was felt that he could definitely excel at Michigan.

Well two of my friends (both instate) got into Michigan a couple days ago and they both didn’t take one AP class until this year too and both their parents are estatic that they got in.

Crappy essays. They certainly were NOT the essays that got me into Columbia.

My school stopped sending out class rank this year.

Am going there for sure, and have already sent in my deposit.

I had a friend last year who got in with a 2.7 weighted GPA and crappy test scores. He did a TON of theater, though, played like five instruments, was the concert master for the school orchestra…still, kind of annoying.

2.7 weighted GPA? That’s impressive. Only 2% of Michigan students have sub-3.0 GPA…unweighed, and most of them are on the football team! Your friend either lied about getting in or is one of tghe World’s most gifted performers and got in because of his artistic talents.

I got accepted and posted earlier but I really think Michigan and I just don’t go together well. I checked Wolverine Access on Sunday and it said i was accepted. I live in VA and so the big pakcage should be here by two days. I assume it was sent on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning and it hasn’t arrived yet. It’s really kind of weird. I sent my initial app in October and it ended up getting finished in January. I guess Michigan and I just don’t go together well.

Alexandre and hoganwan-I know, I was shocked too. But he goes there now! He says he absolutely loves it. He read me his freshman schedule and it consisted mostly of music and acting classes. The ■■■■■■■, though, my GPA is like a zillion times better than his and I got waitlisted, lol.
