I’m curious whether anyone has seen any stats on how many applied this year, how many accepted. WL’d, etc. Ds just told me his Eagle Scout friend was WL’d, and I’m pretty shocked by that. According to stats on Naviance, A&M takes 70% of applicants. I’m just curious whether that’s really changing this year.

I guess it doesn’t really matter if your an Eagle Scout if you don’t have the grades or test scores.

To me it means that your mom is an over-achiever (I’m kidding - kinda). I do agree with you that some kids with stellar stats have been waitlisted. One of the other threads had two kids with 30 ACT scores - one with a 3.83 gpa. All I have to say is “Thank God for the auto-admit policy”. I hope it’s still around when my younger son is ready for college, but I’ve heard it most likely will not be.

This kid had been invited to SHIP, so I assume he had strong stats.
