Staying At College During Breaks

Now, I don’t mind staying over breaks while in college. But, I’ll always go home for the holidays and spring break. I stayed during labor day and I’m going to stay over our fall break, which starts this weekend and ends on Tuesday of next week. I went home last weekend because it was my birthday. I don’t want to go home too often because I like college better than being at home.

Even though that I don’t have any family problems, I believe that I’m growing up and realizing that I need to become more independent as I get older. Now, I’ll always be with my family during the holidays and winter/summer break, but sometimes, it’s nice to just be surrounded by people around your age range.

So, what about you, do you sometimes stay over breaks or do you go home?

I’m going home for fall break partially because I feel like I really need a break and I like the comfort of my own bed. But the other reason is my mom is having eye surgery and really wants me to be with her. My original plan was to stay until Thanksgiving break, but it just didn’t work out that way. I like being at my college, but sometimes you just need a break.
