I actually don’t like the steam cleaner for the floors. Just doesn’t do that good a job, IMHO. However, I really like cleaning my cooktop with it.

I was thinking this pertained to cleaning hand or power tools & I thought " heck! I thought /i was doing good if they were sharp & I rubbed them down with bar oil"
;)

Yes, Kelowna, the steam cleaning does a great job of getting the grease off the cooktop and out of all the nooks and crannies. EK4 is saying that she thought you meant you steam-cleaned your tools rather than just sharpening and oiling them.

The Shark model is on sale at Costco until the end of the month. From $69 to $49.
Do you use yours to clean shower doors etc???. What is the most amazing clean this tool ever did for you?
I like my steam mop on wood floors. I vacuum them first and then steam mop. No problems for me. But I absolutely LOVE it in my bathrooms. I have travertine tiles on the floors there and love the steaming action of the mop, especially near the toilet ;)

I’ve heard good reports about steam cleaning wood and tile floors. How did you decide what model of cleaner to purchase? Price only? I’ve gone on-line and have found models ranging from $70-80 to over $1,000. Not sure what the differences are–performance, durability, size??
