<p>We are trying to make travel plans to visit NYU but it is tough with no info on admitted student events. Does anyone know when or if Steinhardt is hosting an event for its 2012 students? Specifically the Dept of Media, Culture, and Communication?</p>

<p>The event is on April 6 at 1pm…Call Steinhardt admissions and they will give you the link if you want to attend. Most people received invites, but we didn’t either. You need to RSVP, but we were able to attend as of last night for the 9am one (music).</p>

We did call NYU, both admissions and Steinhardt, to try to set up a visit for my daughter next week…got the definite impression from both places that we are a bother!</p>
<p>Anyway, I already knew that at NYU the student has to take care of herself/himself, I guess the real question is whether my daughter is ready and able to do that in the big NYU environment.</p>
<p>She’ll be better able to judge that after her visit next week.</p>
