<p>Hi :slight_smile: I applied to be an elementary education major.
2000 SAT (670 CR/700 M/630 WR)
32 ACT
3.8 gpa unweighted.
Have taken 3 AP Tests (US History - 4, US Gov - 4, Macroecon - 3), and am currently taking 3 (Calc AB, English Lit, & Chem). I’ve been in accelerated math and english classes every year of high school.
I played clarinet for two years and got to play in a group that traveled around Europe for a month, living with host families. I read with 2nd graders one on one during the school year and summer once a week starting in 10th grade, part of a student mentoring program at my school, I am a regular babysitter for a family with two kids, and have worked in the preschool that runs out of my high school for two years. I also do volunteer tutoring with 2nd and 3rd graders in Detroit once a week during the school year, and three days a week in the summer; this is what I wrote my common app essay on. My counselor loves me and told me that she gave me the best rec possible, and the other teacher I asked is known for writing amazing rec letters. </p>

<p>Sorry to bore you all with my stats, I’m just soooo nervous at this point!</p>

around 200 hours of random community service (IB requires it)
