Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development - Financial Aid/Chances

<p>Hey guys -</p>

<p>So I’m pretty sure I have a decent chance for Steinhardt School of CEHD. </p>

<p>I have a 4.0 weighted (3.85 unweighted), a ton of extracurricular activites, community service, Varsity sports, Art Honor Society and Honor Society, awards, regional winner for an academic/environmental competition, pre-professional ballet, etc., (my strongest part of my application is my resume) and I have a 28 ACT. </p>

<p>I am a legacy, both my parents went to NYU. One parent went to NYU Tisch, the other to NYU Arts and Sciences. </p>

<p>BUT, the problem is I cannot afford to pay 60 grand a year. I NEED financial aid. I was wondering if people could tell me what they know about NYU financial aid - </p>

<p>MAIN QUESTION HERE: Do they give $ to legacies? My mother worked at NYU for a while, but not anymore. Do you think I could get $ because of that?</p>

<p>HELP!</p>

<p>Also I’ve taken 5 APs and one college course in High School and my ACT breakdown is more impressive than my composite. My essays were very strong as well.</p>
