what are my chances?

How about for harvard or duke or yale?

To what extent will being a Puerto Rican (Hispanic) help me in the admissions process for the Ivies?? Will it compensate for modest SAT and SAT II scores??

It’s all relative to your competiton. Next year may be a bit “worse” academically or it may be a lot better! Anyway, once you reach a certain number, the subjective portions are more important.

Being Hispanic will not compensate that much for your modest SAT scores. I know people of Hispanic descent who scored higher than that. One thing that might compensate for the modest SAT scores is your status as valedictorian. Then again, I don’t know about Pton. I know an Asian valedictorian who applied early to Penn with a 1340 and got in. I’m not saying that you should apply to Penn. I’m just merely stating an example.

Thanks QTIP! Penn would still be great!
