Hi CC,

I couldn’t really find a definitive answer anywhere, so I guess I’ll be making my own post.

I know it gets tossed around a lot, that one award doesn’t make or break your application to any school, but I was really curious about their actual levels of prestige vs. impact on a student’s application.

The main 4 that I am asking about are Conrad Challenge Finalist, USAPhO Gold Medalist, USNCO High Honors, and USA team for IOAA. Of course, I’m not saying that I have obtained any of these, but I was just really curious about how these awards might affect your application.
