Has anyone done Stemwave for pain relief? Done by holistic folks. I’ve heard good things, but wonder if anyone else has!
Off to Google. I thought this thread was about crystal.
ETA: Did you mean “StemWave?” That’s what came up with I Googled. I haven’t heard of it.
Same!!!
Yes. Stem Wave! I corrected my post
Since it is non-invasive, try it.
If suffering from plantar fasciitis or heel pain, I can recommend dry needling/cold needling with electricity/shock waves.
Not to be confused with StimWave which is a complete fraud! ![]()
New shiny toy. Ask how many treatments and how much is each treatment. Why this and not that?
What else would they do for X problems.
So you know how it works. Doctor leases new toy or buys it depending. The Rep sells the doctor the new toy on "If you see x amount of patients a week and do Y amount of treatments per patient you will make Z off of the patients. What do the double blind third party research say? Oh, the company hired someone to do the research. Lol.
Buyer beware is my point. I had patients talk to other patient’s on some of my off label treatments. I also told the patient if they didn’t improve on the visit that they wouldn’t pay for it. I kinda guarantee your doctor will never do that.
Just because it’s not invasive per se doesn’t mean it can’t cause harm. I was trained on ESWT shock wave one of the first group of 20 or so in the US. You could do lots of damage with that non invasive treatment.
Also I would never recommend dry needling for plantar fascitis. I have seen too many that have caused tears /ruptures. Usually for plantar fasiciosis which is scarring and more chronic. It really shouldn’t be done just for - itis since conservative treatment should work for that. Just saying…
Well it worked wonders for my plantar fasciitis. Cured me with one treatment. However, I received two additional treatments each about 3 weeks apart.
The third time I had the treatment, the physical therapist used my treatment as a demonstration for 3 or 4 new physical therapists. She was nervous and had to redo insert the needles a couple of times before applying the electricity. I was fine as the treatments changed my life for the better. And I had been to orthopedic surgeons & podiatrists over many years in multiple cities–all of whom were absolutely worthless with respect to alleviating my extremely painful condition. (All they recommended was highly risky surgery or cortisone shots to mask the pain. I refused both. Also recommended inserts which were extremely painful & exercises which gave mild, temporary relief.)
Interesting sidenote: The PT who treated me turned out to be unlicensed according to my insurance companies (2) and according to her corporate office in Illinois. Nevertheless, she was great & I highly recommend dry needling/cold needling with electricity as it was a simple 60 second miracle cure procedure for me.
Googled AI and the answer stated that ESWT shock wave is quite safe.
Any procedure can have unintended side effects or be damaging. Just find an experienced provider & ask about any possible adverse consequences or dangers.
Additional info. Read the final paragraph for a general statement regarding safety.
Yep and glad it worked for you. I guess I only saw the bad results. I have had dry needling on my back so I get it. When it works it works. High energy ESWT is what I did not the low energy that is out now. One time treatment but have to put you to sleep for 15 minutes. That was an amazing treatment. If I knew you were being treated in Illinois I could of fixed you right up. Don’t use cortisone either. I have other tricks up my sleeve but sold our practice in December. But seriously, I am glad you don’t have the pain. The problem with many treating you they have limited knowledge. You never make orthotics till the pain is 90% gone. Of course it will hurt you. Most people have the - "osis (scarring and degeration I talked about. The - itis is more acute and why those other treatment have failed.
