<p>Choc…we have a four bedroom, 2 1/2 bath colonial on two acres of land with about 3400 total finished area. We do not need this much house anymore. </p>
<p>Our next house will be a ranch, with three bedrooms. One will be ours, one an office, and the third a guest room. There will be plenty of space if our kids visit. They will not have “bedrooms” of their own once we move…but will have a place to,stay when they visit.</p>
<p>We had to travel for graduations anyway…kids did not go to college near where we lived.</p>
<p>When we put the house up for sale we transformed all of the kids’s bedrooms into guest rooms per our realtor’s advice. Neutral paint and childhood kickbacks removed. </p>
<p>When they are all home at the same time they tend to sleep in the same rooms that they slept in during the previous visit. The extra bedrooms are guest rooms.We downsized quite a bit. I love our small house. It is easy to clean and perfect for the two of us but roomy enough for the kids when they visit. Our new house sounds exactly like what you are looking for Thumper.</p>
