I love my essays and I have good recs.

I think you’re an impressive applicant by NYU’s standards, and I think you have a good shot ED. Your GPA is very strong, especially considering your rigorous courseload, and being from Kansas definitely gives you an advantage. You have some really neat ECs as well.

A bit of advice; submit your ACT score over your SAT I and IIs, which aren’t particularly strong. According to http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3186&profileId=6,

your SAT I score is about average for NYU (your math score in particular isn’t really so great for Stern), and as a white male, you’ll want to be above the 50th percentile. Your ACT score, however, is much more competitive, and as such, you’ll probably want to submit that.

but i think he is talking about NYU Stern which is considerably more competitive than just the CAS

Looks fine for Stern. I talked to an Adcom from NYU and she said that ED applicants are usually admitted with lower test scores than the RD just coz they want people who really want to attend NYU.

hmmm i dunno know, your SAT’s might be kind of low. A friend of mine who’s going to stern had a 1510 old, among other things. But he applied RD. Applying ED might help out a little. Just write a good essay and hope for the best

oh, I just realized you were talking about STERN. Yeah I think you might wanna raise that math score.

The math score will be a major problem for Stern.
