I used to believe that finance was my major. However, now I’m leaning more towards accounting and information systems. I heard that the majority of Stern students major in finance and students of other majors get less support and attention. Is that true?

More Sternies please!

The majority of stern students do major in finance, but I wouldn’t say that it receives less attention than other stern majors. Stern ranks just as high in other majors as it does finance. Many people double major in Stern because it is so easy. It takes around 12 credits for a 2nd business major if you are already majoring in finance because so many of the classes overlap. Finance/accounting is really popular as is finance/statistics. There are just as many job opportunities in the career services department for those majoring outside of finance as there are who do major in it.
