Stern (NYU) and Haas (UC-Berkeley)

<p>I’m a student interested in business (just in general…)</p>

<p>I got into NYU (stern) and UC Berkeley, and I don’t know where to go</p>

<p>Haas starts in the third year apparently, and going straight into business from the first year (like stern) seems like it’s narrowing my path down too much…</p>

<p>But then again all big business eventually goes through NY, and I’d like to have that NYU advantage in terms of opportunities and connections…</p>

<p>But I value that sense of having a nice campus… which NYU just doesn’t have…and the california setting is really attractive…</p>

<p>…the circumstances of the two schools are just too different and has their own adv/disadv and i have no clue where to go</p>

<p>Suggestions/Opinions/Comments/Advices please?</p>

<p>Hey, I got into Berkeley too! Congrats, I also want to major in business at Haas.</p>

<p>You probably know this, but just in case, I’ll restate it… You have to apply to Haas after completing all the required courses at Berkeley (Most often done at the end of sophomore year). At NYU, you are already into the program. At Berkeley, there is roughly a 60% acceptance rate to Haas.</p>

<p>Also, keep in mind that when you interview for jobs, they will probably look more at where you got your MBA. You could goto Berkeley undergrad then NYU Stern (or another elite school) for your MBA.</p>

<p>Hopefully you and I will be classmates at Haas in a few years :).</p>
