Steve Jobs dies

Apple just announced.

Very sad.

He changed our lives…

:(

I didn’t know him, but I still find myself tearing up. His pic is on the front page of the apple site.

The Apple web site says “1955-2011”

Edit: oops. I didn’t realize there was already a thread.

very, very sad…

:(

posted from my ipad.

How sad. Only 56.

Absolutely. He wil be missed.

I am very sad about this. He changed our lives in so many ways.

What an amazing creative mind. RIP

apple.com[/url”>http://www.apple.com/]apple.com Nice.

Pancreatic cancer is brutal. This was very predictable … unfortunately. However, he left this world standing on its absolute pinnacle.

From my local newspaper: iSad

A real genius and a visionary. My sympathies to all who knew him.

He changed the world. iSad2

May he rest in peace. Hope his last days were not too painful.

I’m surprised by how affecting the news is, even though I knew it was coming. I can’t stop thinking about sitting with my older two kids at 3 and 6, one on each knee, gazing together into the amazing screen of our LCII.
Thanks, Steve.

Pancreatic cancer is brutal. Very sad.

Not unexpected, but still very sad. Too many people lost to cancer. My sympathies to his family.

some quotes and pics from the past.

Just read the obit on CNN. I’ve known a few people with pancreatic cancer and I know it’s considered one of the “worst” ones in terms of both prognosis and pain. I knew it had been a while since he was diagnosed, but didn’t realize that he’d been battling it since 2004. 7 years after diagnosis seems extraordinarily long for this type of cancer; hopefully another one of his legacies will be increased awareness & research funding.
