<p>Looking for a good quality stick vacuum that either has a long charge – more than 15 minutes – or one with a really long cord. We have four flights of stairs in this house and I’ve gone through two different brands of vacuums with disappointing results.</p>

<p>Are the stairs carpeted or wood? I just bought an oreck that is a handheld/carry small canister with great suction, but it would not work well on plush carpet. Amazon shows ratings of stick vacuum cleaners and you can read the reviews.</p>
<p>Go with corded model. Use extension cord if needed. I have a Eureka stick vac I’ve had for over 15 years. Very happy with it for quick clean ups on either carpet or hard surface.</p>
<p>Shark…i figure if they pick up the crumbs at Panera, they should work in a house.</p>
<p>We have wood treads with a carpeted runner. It also needs to pick up dog hair.</p>
