<p>This is getting really frustrating…do they post decisions online over the weekend? I have a feeling I’m gonna get rejected with a 3.4 gpa, 1360/1600, in state.</p>

I applied in November, sent in my solution to the “design problem” about two weeks ago and found out I was accepted on Thursday =]
Does anyone know anything about the program for GD there? Online it says it emphasizes “craftmanship”…what the heck.</p>
<p>Can i just assume i didnt get in at this point because my message is still “Your application is complete, all of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.” I know like 10 people who go to my school and have stats way less impressive than mine and got accepted last year. Since this was a fallback school, I decided not to write the optional essay and I’m pretty sure that may have come back to shoot me in the foot and I highly regret that.

<p>D applied early last year and didn’t hear until mid Feb that she was accepted at satellite. D opted for another school. A lot of kids from my school have heard already. Some within 3 weeks of application. If PSU puts you at a satellite and you transfer to main, you still have to go to Hershey jr/sr year for nursing. Not a great college experience in my opinion.</p>
<p>If you applied before Nov. 30, you should have heard by Jan. 31. I would call.</p>
<p>@pinky72 If your son would really like to to psu have him write a letter of appeal. My son was rejected wrote a letter and then was accepted. Shows his interest in attending psu.</p>

<p>It is truly frustrating when I apply to pitt and get an acceptance response in 2 weeks. While in early November i applied to psu and still haven’t heard back its now late January and I still haven’t gotten a response the admissions decision “will be posted in the coming days.” Its ironic, I checked cappex it said i was a definite for penn state highly likely to be accepted but with this taking so long who knows. While Pitt It said I basically only had a 50-50 shot and i got in almost immediately… I know the university is still caught up in the sandusky outfall and With Paterno’s death I can understand these decisions may have been thrown to the back burner but just the other day I got a Magazine from the university about a there technical college are they trying to say I should go to one of the satellites? Come on if i am rejected reject me I hate the wait. My scores are in range if you take in both my SAT and ACT and my gpa is at a 3.8 when it says their average is around a 3.5…</p>

<p>I applied September 1st and just heard back saturday. The wait has nothing to do with the scandal or Joe Paterno’s death. Be patient. They receive 80,000 applications a year.</p>

<p>Waiting to hear if I am accepted to University of Florida on Feb 10th.</p>
<p>If accepted to UF, I will then have to decide between the two schools. It will be a tough decision - instate tuition coupled with Florida’s bright future scholarship ( already qualified for this) will play a heavy factor since at PSU I will have to pay OOS tuition! I just love PSU and think an education in the northeast carries a lot of weight. I am originally from the northeast.</p>
