Still waiting on 1099 from USB Financial?

<p>I just found out that USB Financial will not be sending out their 1099 reports until the end of Feb. 2008. Are any other parents waiting for the same forms before they can file their tax returns? </p>

<p>DS has applied to 10 schools and the Financial Aid packages are on hold until we can varify our 2007 returns. FAFSA and Profile were submitted with estimated figures. </p>

<p>Any insight?</p>

<p>SEI Private Trust Company sent them a letter at the very beginning of January saying that the IRS was providing financial service companies the option to extend the mailing date of 1099 tax forms for an additional 30 days past the January 31st deadline.</p>

<p>We estimated on our FAFSA and CSS Profile too. I have a March 3rd deadline for one school’s financial data form, and MUST send completed tax forms by that date. My parents are hoping for a rush job by their tax person…and then they’ll fax a copy to the school. This is assuming that the 1099s arrive on time.</p>

<p>I asked USB Financial if the 1099 will be posted on our on-line account at the end of Feb. The customer service agent said the 1099’s “should” be posted for viewing. Ask your parents to check with their financial management agent. They too may be able to view their 1099 on-line if that option is available.</p>
