Cannot believe we are still waiting for one admission decision, and it sounds as if there are quite a few people out there waiting to hear from several different schools. It is APRIL 7, for pete’s sake!!! I thought ALL schools sent out decisions by April 1. And, if they are sending out decisions SO LATE, then the decisions should be EMAILED!! to students so they don’t have to wait another 3-5 days for it to arrive. This is CRAZY!!!

Are there a lot of schools out there that still have not completed decisions?

The schools all knew that this would be a big year for applications, and that it keeps getting bigger each year, so why can’t they plan for it and get the decisions completed?

IS IT A SIGN OF THE SCHOOL’S INCOMPETENCE IF THEY DON’T GET DECSIONS OUT IN A TIMELY MANNER?

we are extremely frustrated…and now have lost 7 day advance purchase airline tickets to attend the school’s Admitted Students Day…

Back in the day (30 years ago) when there were far fewer people applying to college, the common notification date for many schools was April 15.

Yeah Umich is being super weird with their decisions…APril 15th, and if they’re snail mailing international decisions then it’s unlikely many will get their letters before the usual May 1 deposit date at most schools.

Check to see what the school’s final deadline is. If it is April 15th, then sorry… you’re going to have to wait some more. Yeah, there are a lot of people out there who are still waiting on decisions, but schools had to sift through a lot more applications this year. Give them a little time, they’re working as fast as they can and they aren’t deliberately trying to withhold your acceptance/rejection. Be patient.
