Stocking stuffer ideas for 2017?

@intparent I love small utensils for my desk. The ones I use most often are old airline ones - the last set are Delta and came from the B&M Archie McPhee store. I also have some from REI (plastic camping spork and knife/spreader)

I liked the chopsticks, and it is hard to find a set with those. I ended up buying her those (figured she knows what she wants). There are some nice bento box sets in little cases around as well.

I am looking at getting tickets for this: https://www.scavengerhunt.com

Has anyone done this? I thought it looked fun and it is pretty cheap- $11/per person.

I saw an ad for that and wondered, too.

^^^ I just saw it too. Looks interesting.

Love the rubber band idea that kicked off this thread and will order some of those. I have bought Penzey’s boxes and Bombas socks for my crew so far. Saw these links in my morning e-mail that could be of help:

For cappuccino lovers, you can get a milk frother for around $10 and they fit nicely into a stocking.

I thought this lint roller was pretty cool.

I just picked up a bag of the coffee my oldest D drinks.
Ordered the magnifying item @deb922 linked for my H.
I’m loving all the great ideas.

I bought these rechargeable hand warmers for my son who plays a spring sport and gets very cold. Supposed get really warm and work for four hours. They can also be used to charge a phone. Pretty cool.

I’ve told our gang that this is going to be a practical Christmas. They have pretty big stockings.
Method dish and hand soap, kind bars, other healthy bars, microwave popcorn, Barilla Pasta Plus, Nutella, movie theater candy, Jelly Belly’s, Toblerones, makeup “junk” (think 5 for 5 bucks at Ulta), and probably a Cheesecake Factory GC for each of 4 kids (3 plus a living together GF).

I bought a thermapen for D1’s SO for grilling. I LOVE mine. Also got both Ds ice cube molds in the shape of diamonds for entertaining.

I ran across this iPhone lanyard holder by Gear Beast and I’m wondering if my girls, 19 & 21, would think it’s a cool stocking stuffer or “This is so lame, Mom”.

One of my kids likes disposable tea bags (you can fill with your own loose leaf tea). I ordered her some, but am not sure how they are packaged, so aren’t sure if they will fit in a stocking or not.

Each year I give everyone in the family one common add-on gift. Many would also work in stockings. Here are a few that were well received.

Lifehammer
Headlamp-laughed at until a nephew got a flat on the way home Xmas night and used it!
Ice scraper mitt
Pocket Monkey multitool
Jackery portable charger
Hydroflask
Flexible silicone cell phone hook/holder

This year it is magnetic wristbands for the men and Mantra bands for the ladies.

@doschicos is there a frother you would recommend? And can you put on in my stocking please??

Me too doschicos!

Some of you must have HUGE stockings - and spend a lot of money on them, too!

That milk frother can be found at IKEA for under $3, and it works very well!

Excellent price if you are going to an IKEA already (or even live near one) but they charge $10 to ship their $2.79 item. :frowning:
