Stocking Stuffer ideas?

Probably an annual thread around here but any ideas for Stocking Stuffers? Post what you are doing so other’s may get ideas from you. I need ideas for a couple small things for our boys, late teens/early twenties age.

I have:

razor blades
toothbrushes
candy
ear bud cord winders from Eddie Bauer
gift cards for fast food places
lip gloss for the girls

I need some ideas for smaller things for the boys along the lines of the lip gloss.

So, what are your stocking stuffers this year?

Read about this website/catalog on CC several years ago and have used it for stockings and Easter baskets since:

[Archie McPhee - Toys, Gifts & Novelties](Novelty Store, Funny Gifts, Fun Toys | Archie McPhee)

Suncreen/balm stcks?
[Sun Protection Lip Balm SPF 15](<a href=“Hurraw! Premium Vegan Lip Balms – Hurraw! Balm : Vegan lip balm, cruelty-free makeup, & natural deodorant.”>Hurraw! Premium Vegan Lip Balms – Hurraw! Balm : Vegan lip balm, cruelty-free makeup, & natural deodorant.)
Socks? Touchscreen gloves? Mix cd of the year they were born? Folding pocket knife or speciality hand soap?
Pens? ( I always give my H these- then I know where to find some!)
Archie McPhees is fun, I should see if they have a Visualize Ballard bumper sticker.

I ordered these for my boys–
[Nite Ize BugLit LED Micro Flashlight - Free Shipping at REI.com](http://www.rei.com/product/831053/nite-ize-buglit-led-micro-flashlight)
I do put tubes of Burt’s Bees in their stockings every year. Also, gummi multi-vitamins; I figure they can’t hurt during the winter months.

Burts Bees makes lip balm that guys like.
movie theatre gift card
World Market has little bottles of hot sauce
wine bottle stoppers (for the young adult)

[Amazon.com: Metrokane 6119 Rabbit Wine Bottle Stoppers 2-Pack in Multi-Color (Colors Selected Randomly): Kitchen & Dining](http://www.amazon.com/Metrokane-6119-Stoppers-Multi-Color-Selected/dp/B0028LEBRW/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1355340143&sr=1-4)
Amazon has a fire starter that goes on a key chain.
[Amazon.com: Emergency Fire Starter: Sports & Outdoors](http://www.amazon.com/SE-FS374-Emergency-Fire-Starter/dp/B0010O748Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355340219&sr=8-1&keywords=fire+starter)

For girls (and I guess boys, too) key chain alarms and pepper spray.

EK, I personally like “the people of Ballard welcome our new condo overlords” AMcP bumper sticker.

funky bottle openers - I got #1D a samurai print one last year
pen knife
Moleskine notebook
Aquaphor lip balm
Socks
calendar
card games

How can you not have any tools on that list? They need some tools! There are plenty of smaller inexpensive tools that would fit in a stocking you could get. Make sure you only get quality tools though (don’t go to Harbor Freight!). Try roaming the tool dept at Sears with a focus on tools that say ‘Craftsman’ on them. You can also get tools at Home Depot and Lowes. Make sure you get known brand names and ideally things not made in China if possible.

[Pocket Disc/Footbag Gift Set: Camp Entertainment | Free Shipping at L.L.Bean](<a href=“L.L.Bean: Page Not Available”>L.L.Bean: Page Not Available) It folds up small to fit in a stocking.

And, Cards Against Humanity.

I want to get some fun things for my boys this year. I miss having toys on Christmas morning.

I’ve got corkscrews on my list, but bottle stoppers? I have a feeling that there’s never much need for those. ;)

My S has a bottle opener on his keychain.

Viewer, tell me about Cards Against Humanity. I have been coming across that in my search for good games.

We bought our DSs tool boxes several years ago and get them a new tool every year.

Another idea that I used last year is smartphone gloves. I think they have come down in price.

From what I hear it’s a lot like “Apples to Apples” with an edge. The box isn’t very big and will fit in a stocking.

I just ordered these
[Mints From The Unemployed Philosophers Guild](Mints | Smart and Funny Gifts by UPG – The Unemployed Philosophers Guild)

Googled the company and found a 10% discount coupon

I give my neighbors teenage boys chocolate money and cash. Big hit!

Looks like Cards Against Humanity is hard to find.

Unlike Apples to Apples, which can be played with the entire family, including my 84yo mother, I think Cards Against Humanity appeals to a narrower demographic (to which I do not belong):

[url=<a href=“http://cardsagainsthumanity.com/]Cards”>http://cardsagainsthumanity.com/]Cards Against Humanity/url

I played a few cards on the website and didn’t think it was really funny. I thought perhaps I was missing something.

I second the tools idea. Kitchen tools are handy if your kids live in an apartment and cook for themselves. I’ve got D an instant read kitchen thermometer when over Thanksgiving, she asks how to tell when a roast chicken is done (turkey is too big to cook for one). Kitchen stores are also fun to browse around for small items.

If the stocking is rather large, Bananagrams is always good. (I think that pretty much everyone on the College Class of '13 bought that one year.)

I don’t think H has ever been pleased with anything I’ve ever put in his stocking. He doesn’t eat the candy, doesn’t use any of the stuff. So I’ve started buying little kitchen gadgets that I want and putting them in his stocking.

Fun socks. DS wanted argyle. VS underwear, travel size shampoos, lotions, etc. candy, kitchen things. We got one kid a stocking full of small Penzys spices.

Also bought these–
[2-Piece Mini Gingerbread Man Spatula Set in Christmas Entertaining | Crate and Barrel](http://www.crateandbarrel.com/holidays/christmas-entertaining/2-piece-mini-gingerbread-man-spatula-set/f48783)
They are very handy for getting the last bit of mayo out of the jar, etc.

I’ve also put Penzy’s (Galena rub) in the stockings.
