Stocking Stuffers, 2019

Dang, I stand corrected. Like many/most bags, Chico Bags are made in China, not the US. I guess otherwise their prices woudl be higher. Right now, there’s a 20% off coupon on Amazon for the 4 pack of Chico reusuable shopping bags in a variety of colors. That makes it less than $5/bag.

Since all are made in China, just bought these 6 bags for $5.99. I think they will make my kids & H happy! Reviews were quite positive, 4.8 stars out of 5.

Love this! Going to search for it to send to DS!

Edit to add…not as easy as I thought to search for memes. Has anyone seen it?

Just google search “meme christmas toothpaste” and then click on “images” - you’ll see lots of examples.

I bought a couple of small wood 3 D Rubin cube type puzzles for my S when I was in New York. My D is putting a car wash gift certificate in her husband’s stocking.

We got a bamboo toothbrush and fork/knife/spoon set for our eco-conscious D. She has a metal straw and brush set already, but that’s another suggestion.

I was at World Market today and the Italian wine “advent calendars” are on sale for about $37. That’s 12 mini bottles of wine! I bought 3, lol. For those of you wanting mini bottles of prosecco, you can have that and probably 9 others left over.

I also got these chain mail scrubbers made by Lodge for cast iron pans. I got one last month and it’s great! My girls all love their cast iron pans so they’re each getting one.

Love these! Just bought some. Thanks for the suggestion.

Those were in my kids’ stockings last year.

For you cat lovers, I just stumbled upon this and it cracked me up. :disappointed:

Coincidence, doschicos, but I ordered several gifts from Zazzle.
My cleaning woman wants a tote bag, and loves Donald Duck, so she’s getting that along with $$, (she picked the design).

Another person is getting an Eeyore t shirt, and someone else, a Star Wars t shirt.

Speaking of cat lovers, I got my son a pack of 3-D cat playing cards when I was visiting the Art Institute of Chicago this summer: https://www.amazon.com/Kikkerland-Playing-Cards-Cat-Lenticular/dp/B0011KD1PO?th=1 He and his GF love their cat and I’m hoping they think this is cute. So many good ideas here!

D2’s BF (of about a year) is now joining us for Christmas. Any ideas for a 20 year old for stocking stuffers? We don’t know him very well, but D says he would prefer practical things that are useful. College sophomore, lives in dorm, majoring in cyber security, not a lot of disposable income.

Somehow I have never heard of those cast iron scrubbers. So they are pretty effective? I have a designated scrubber for our cast iron but it is not made of that material. Any features I should look for? I was looking at this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Amagabeli-Stainless-Chainmail-Scrubber-Pre-Seasoned/dp/B01A51S9Y2/ref=sr_1_6

@dentmom Luggage locks, socks, snacks, playing cards

That’s what they are. No features, pretty basic.

@abasket, I have a chain mail scrubber for my cast iron and have found it to be effective. The only drawback is that you need a place to store it.

Anyone else have a designated place for gifts that you pick up over the year? I went through my gift box last night and came across some small Penzey spices that I bought a couple of months ago- perfect stocking stuffers for by liberal cooks!

Wow, thanks people! I ordered the luggage tag suggested by @doschicos for D2 and the funny playing cards for D1’s husband suggested by @walkinghome. He will get a kick out it.

Also got socks from Zazzle for Dh and our nephew with a picture of our ugly dog (he has a facial deformity-it’s so ugly it’s cute) on them. Will get a laugh for sure.

I’m having DH go to Barnes & Noble for “reading socks”, gift cards, and those Godiva sleeves. Maybe a small lego for the 12 yr old

@abasket - the Lodge scrubber has a rubber or plastic part inside the chain mail. I’m not sure what difference that might make. If you scroll down on the page, there is also a set of scrapers, with one that is sized for the ridged grill pans.
