I see there’s already a holiday shopping thread for 2024, so I’m starting the stocking stuffers thread too.
While I REFUSE to think about this yet , I did order something for myself this week that I thought “oh, I’ll have to recommend these on the stocking thread on CC!”
I bought a new purse and wanted some small storage for small things so they are not loose within the purse. “Waterproof Leather” and only $7 for 3. I liked these because of size, color and I liked that they closed but not with a zipper and were easy open with one hand. You could also stuff something like a gift card in one for the stocking - or other things like a bottle of nail polish and emory stick. Give them all or split them up one per three different stockings!
Old school change purse! Love those things!
They are bigger than a change purse though! At least bigger than the little coin purses that opened that same way!
Penzeys trial size spices are BOGO today. They would make a great stocking stuffer, and are inexpensive, especially if you got GCs when they were $35 for a $50 GC.
I bought a book of Christmas Dad jokes for my daughter, which I will surely come to regret!
Not as bad as giving a seven year old a book on knock knock jokes!
Ok, even I will admit it’s time to start thinking about filling those stockings.
LOFT has 50% off sale + extra 20% off those prices. I will look more closely later but if you have any female stockings to fill there are some nice accessories here that might be great for stocking stuffers - jewelry, scarfs, socks…

I got a book of dad jokes for my SIL who is a new dad @tkoparent
I plan to get a bottle of pre-mixed cocktails, a Doordash gift card, a bit of good chocolate, and some nice jam for my (adult) kid’s stockings this year.
That said, almost every year I read a great idea or two here so there is room for me to add something else in!
Trader Joe’s has some nice hand creams for the holidays, as well as wool dryer balls. I also bought some tomato paste in a tube. I love having it on hand in the fridge when the tomato-based sauce isn’t quite thick enough. I recognize these are a bit eclectic but consumables are best for folks who have too much of everything. haha!
New stuff out telling us we should get rid of all our black plastic utensils - so wood or otherwise utensils might be a good stocking stuffer! (also if you have any you really like please post them)
Costco has the 6 pack Toblerone at a reduced price, I think for about $7.99/6 pack.
I always struggle with stocking stuffers for the guys. This year I saw these advertised and I bought 5 (buy 3, get 2 free). H, S, SIL, D and I all wear glasses.
@HImom - wool dryer balls! Great idea.
I just got my daughter a set of metal utensils - because she read this and wanted to throw out all her old plastic ones (did not wait to christmas just gave them to her)
The other day I was ordering a new toaster oven from Sur la Table and decided to go ahead and replace the black plastic utensils we have. Just when I figured H couldn’t possibly need any more…
Please share any stocking stuffers you’ve found recently!
I just placed an order at Athleta for some items that are greatly reduced and will make good stocking stuffers for 3 female stockings I need to fill. The prices below do also include extra discounts because I had some rewards ($20) but the prices were quite good for these accessories! Additionally today was 20% back from Rakuten if you do that!
Darn - those are some great deals. They are no longer available or no longer that inexpensive already.
I just ordered 30 mins ago! They will not be quite as cheap as noted above because as I said I had some rewards to use - but they should be a listed price and then 30% off!
Try this link and then filter prices “low to high”

That’s what I tried. They are no longer 30% extra off for me. No worries, I don’t really “need” anything. Thanks
