I did the same thing for my D!

I do that too! Everyone gets a magazine to read while they are here, and no agonizing over what subscriptions are appropriate.

The strangest, biggest hit at our house has always been Silly Putty. Go figure

I do/did that for my boys - they could always fill up their travel shaving kits with Christmas stocking stuff!

Has been on my “list” to do for the last few years, but I just haven’t gotten around to sorting them out that way. Mine are sons, so less sentimental so far!

My husband was going to the grocery store, so I said “If you see some gum or Tic Tacs, please pick them up for the kids stockings.” WE had decided we were just doing little stockings with just a few things in them. He brought back 2 boxes of candy canes, 2 biggish bags of chocolate covered pretzels, a container of Ferrerro Rocher chocolates, 2 bags of Lintz chocolates, 2 bags of Ghirardelli chocolates, and I can’t remember what else. He spent $75ish bucks, and did you notice there were no Tic Tacs or gum in that list…

He said he got home and realized he’d gone a little overboard, and he’d failed to get the gum or Tic Tacs.

He tore up the receipt and put it in the trash, but we were able to salvage the pieces. I haven’t decided if I’m going to try and return the stuff or not. It’s made for a good laugh, which is a good thing, right :)?

My brother had several bags of Halloween candy that he was going to donate and he saw a woman coming out of church with a little girl. He thought they might be homeless or at least could use a treat so he gave her one of the jumbo bags. The little girl smiled from ear to ear.

Donate the extras. Everyone wants a treat at this time of the year.

Just to compare Christmases past and present (and so you can see why my mother had no trouble giving up our original stockings)
