Stocking Stuffers - 2025 edition

I haven’t found anything interesting yet - I’m hoping for inspiration from others.

I have a good good friend who is a fanatic baseball fan for our local team. I bought her logo’ed stem tire caps.

After lending mine out to multiple people, I got these for my co-workers last year. They work really well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PDMDY1F

I will give Bombas socks ( as always). We have a small business gourmet oil and vinegar store in my neighborhood and I will get them something from there.

My daughter loves the fun chopsticks I got her one year for Christmas.

Starting with my trip to Alaska this year, I’ve got an idea list going.

The two-handled chopping knife, handcrafted in Alaska is hundreds of $$. There’s a less expensive choice from Etsy starting at $32.

Micro greens growing kit: this is another idea for new and avid gardeners. Surely under $29.

I think mini booze bottles, nail polish, and lottery tickets are all fun.

Oh I always buy powerball tickets for the stockings.

I know some of you think this is silly, but the left handed cooks in my family really like the left handed wood utensils we have gotten them.

This would really stuff a stocking. Only $15. Our son would get a big kick out of it.

Speaking of odd stuffers… This is a great source of oddities…

I agree! Our new son in law is a leftie so I put a left handed spoon in his stocking last year. It was a hit and he didn’t even know such a thing existed.

I will probably pick up a couple of these for stockings. I like that they are rechargeable and easy to drop in a purse, pack in a suitcase, have available on the coffee table!

These are my only two ideas for this year. I’m always looking for something new. It seems I’ve done every stocking size item possible in the last decade. Last year I got LifeStraws which are great if you have hikers.

We are into experiences, not stuff for our kids. So, this year DS will likely get a years membership in a couple of museums he enjoys where he lives.

DD and SIL will get some restaurant gift certificates because they like to eat out when they both aren’t working (which is about once every six weeks given their complicated work schedules).

No one needs more stuff.

We will include some consumables like coffee for DS, and SIL, and tea for DD.

Is this all for their stockings?

For many years I’ve done very large stockings, with lots of stuff from Costco - cookies, chocolate, body wash, sponges, s’mores mix, whatever looked good. Now kids are in various phases of being pretty well launched, and can easily afford their own “essentials.” I’m thinking smaller stockings with more creative/targeted gifts, or maybe just doing away with stockings. (I don’t know if I can handle that though - last year we did no “presents” - family trip instead - but still did stockings).

Yes, all we do is stockings…and everything goes in them. Except a large tin of homemade Christmas cookies!

And laundry detergent! lol, for many years we gave our kids a huge box of garbage bags and laundry detergent, to help defray everyday expenses. The year I failed to give them laundry detergent you would have thought I had kicked their puppy – so now the laundry detergent is stacked underneath their stockings…
